Indonesian Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto, recently stated that African nations see Indonesia as a successful developing country and a model to emulate. This statement came after a meeting with President Joko Widodo, where they discussed expanding cooperation with other countries, including Africa.
Prabowo mentioned that African countries appreciate Indonesia’s steps towards development, especially in terms of downstreaming and supporting those in need. He also noted that neighboring countries are eager to send their best students to Indonesia for education.
In an opinion article published in Newsweek, Prabowo highlighted the importance of partnerships with Africa, which he sees as a continent full of opportunities. He emphasized the need for mutual support, sharing of experiences, and building synergy to transform both countries.
