Cadets from the Royal Military College-Duntroon (RMC-D) in Australia visited the Military Academy (Akmil) in Magelang and were impressed by the discipline and hard work shown by Indonesian cadets. This visit was part of the signing of an enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement between Indonesia and Australia.
Australian cadet Maxwell Jon Kiernan noted the strong work ethic and discipline of Indonesian cadets at Akmil. Lola Kathleen May Charles also expressed admiration for the dedication of Indonesian cadets to their training.
During their nine-day visit, the Australian cadets participated in various activities with Indonesian cadets, such as mentoring sessions and English classes. They also visited cultural landmarks and nearby cities like Yogyakarta and Semarang.
Captain Damon Radford, an exchange officer, mentioned that the visit was part of the Foreign Academy Exchange Program (FAEP) to enhance cooperation between Australia and Indonesia. Indonesian cadets are scheduled to visit Australia from October 10-21.
