Opening Ceremony of The Bodyguard Headquarters (BHQ) Cambodian Volleyball Team Training Camp took place on September 1, 2024 in Sentul, Bogor.
This activity was carried out as an effort to welcome athletes from Cambodia to undergo volleyball training in Indonesia for approximately the next 3 months.

“I appreciate the Central Board of the All Indonesia Volleyball Association (PP.PBVSI) for their quick and positive response, allowing this program to be realized together,” said Vice Chairman III of the Central KONI TNI Major General (ret.) Andrie Tardiwan Utama Soetarno representing the Chairman of the Central KONI TNI Lieutenant General (ret.) Marciano Norman.
The Central KONI expressed its gratitude to the Indonesian Army Headquarters, Immigration, and PPVSI led by Police Commissioner (ret.) Drs. Imam Sudjarwo for facilitating this training program.
This collaboration began from a meeting between the Chairman of the Central KONI Lieutenant General (ret.) Marciano Norman and the leadership of BHQ as well as the Deputy Commander of the Cambodian Military, General Hing Bun Hieng. The first meeting took place on May 10, 2023 during the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia. Following that, there was support for the BHQ team.
The BHQ Volleyball Team / Paspam PM Cambodia became the overall champion of the main volleyball league in Cambodia (Techo League 2023) when supported by Indonesian Patriot Sports, coached by Indra Wahyudi Harahap, and featuring four players: Dio Zulkifri, Doni Haryono, Luvi Febrian Nugraha, and I Gede Wira Yudha Putra.
In the previous season, the BHQ Volleyball Team did not qualify for the playoffs, and in the 2023 season, they aimed for third place but ended up as champions.
Sports collaborations like this prove the role of friendship as one of the values of sports. Bilateral relations between the two countries are improving through sports cooperation. Furthermore, with this collaboration, Indonesian volleyball players can have careers and become stars abroad. Another impact is that the development of volleyball in Indonesia becomes a reference point, starting from Cambodia.
