PLN has taken various concrete steps to ensure the smooth supply of electricity during the implementation of the National Sports Week XXI Aceh-North Sumatra 2024.
Mundhakir, as the General Manager of PLN UID Aceh, explained that the steps taken by PLN are related to securing the supply of primary energy, gas, and oil before the start of PON.
“We have taken several concrete steps to support this PON XXI, the first of which is to secure the stock of primary energy, both planned to be done before September,” said Mundhakir.
Nurlana, Senior Manager of Finance Communication and Public Relations of IUD Aceh, also stated that PLN has prepared everything to the maximum by implementing various mitigation measures.
“PLN has indeed prepared everything to the maximum, as evidenced by the safe supply of electricity at various competition venues,” explained Nurlana.
Coordination with various parties is also maximally carried out by PLN. Mundakhir also explained that PLN has made various efforts by conducting evaluations to quickly rectify any deficiencies.
“We also actively coordinate with PB PON, KONI, etc. regarding central points that require a lot of electricity supply. In addition, we always evaluate to quickly rectify any shortcomings,” emphasized Mundkahir.
PLN has also prepared additional power to anticipate unforeseen events, amounting to 1014 Megawatts, but various venues have also added generators and UPS batteries.
Of course, there are also changes that need to be prepared as the weather conditions change in various venues with the assistance of the Regional Government and PB PON.
“It is not obstacles that we face, but changes that must be prepared for immediately as the weather changes, for example at rowing and sailing venues. Therefore, we and the Regional Government and PB PON help each other for these changes,” explained Mundakhir.
After PON XXI is completed, the amount of electricity supply currently provided by PLN to support the success of PON XXI will be adjusted to the needs of the public.
“Our capacity is still sufficient to facilitate customers according to their needs, even after PON this electricity supply will be adjusted to meet customer needs,” said Nurlana.
