Jakarta – The community is enthusiastic and welcomes the new government that will be led by the elected President of Indonesia and Vice President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto – Gibran Rakabuming Raka ahead of the inauguration ceremony scheduled for Sunday, October 20, 2024.
For the past two days, Prabowo has been calling his potential cabinet members to his residence on Jl Kertanegara, South Jakarta.
One member of the community, Rendy Setiawan, prayed for the smooth and peaceful inauguration of Prabowo-Gibran. “Congratulations to Mr. Prabowo. I hope that the inauguration goes smoothly, without any issues, remains conducive, and proceeds safely,” he said.
Rendy also expressed his hope that Prabowo, as the new President of Indonesia, will give his best while leading the country and will be able to realize the vision and mission that have been planned.
Similar enthusiasm was expressed by Amarani Zahratul Qowiyah. “Of course, I am very excited (about the inauguration), because I also participated in the elections last time, so I am definitely very excited,” said Zahra.
As a student, Zahra hopes that the Prabowo government will pay attention to the quality of education and increase access to scholarships for Indonesian students. “As a student, perhaps my only hope is for scholarships because education is number one in Indonesia,” she said.
Another hope was expressed by Yennih Susilawati, who works as a small food stall trader. She hopes that the Indonesian people can live prosperously under Prabowo’s leadership, with affordable prices for basic needs such as groceries.
“The important thing is honesty and trustworthiness, to be able to bring prosperity to the people. Hopefully, grocery prices will decrease, not keep increasing,” she added.
Furthermore, Ariel Elvan, an online driver, hopes that Prabowo will implement policies that will positively impact the number of orders received by online drivers every day. “May online drivers always have many orders,” he said.
Responding to some public figures who are expected to become ministers in the Prabowo-Gibran government, Rendy stated that the selected figures are expected to carry out their duties with the utmost dedication and spirit.
Yennih also emphasized the importance of programs launched by the ministers in the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet to always prioritize the middle and lower middle-class society, not just the upper-class society. (RR)
