Among those eager to greet Prabowo was Nadine Ardiani Chairunisa, an Indonesian student studying Marketing Communication at Amity University, who had been waiting since 5pm. Accompanied by her fellow student Demas Fadel Anggara, they described the experience as both exciting and nerve-wracking due to some delays. Other Indonesians present, including Rajendra, Marvell, and Adyatama, expressed their appreciation for Prabowo’s personal gesture of shaking hands with them upon his arrival. They voiced their hopes for a successful working visit in India and a promising future under Prabowo’s leadership.
Prabowo’s visit to India not only signifies a new chapter in bilateral relations but also commemorates the 75th anniversary of diplomatic cooperation between Indonesia and India. Before departing from Jakarta, Prabowo expressed his pride in being invited as the chief guest at India’s 76th Republic Day celebrations, considering it a great honor for Indonesia. He emphasized the participation of Indonesian TNI troops in the event, illustrating the strong ties between the two nations. The visit also includes scheduled meetings with Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss enhancing cooperation on various strategic issues.
