had the privilege of learning from Lieutenant General Yoga Sugama, the former Chief of Staff of the Army, and Lieutenant General Hartarto, the former head of the Army Strategic Command. All of these figures from the ‘45 generation have left a lasting impact on me and have shaped my leadership style, values, and principles.
Their dedication to the country, their confidence in their abilities, their continuous pursuit of knowledge, their sense of humor, and their flexibility in handling various situations have all influenced how I approach my role as a military leader. I have learned from them the importance of putting the nation and its people above all else, of being confident in my decisions and actions, of being a lifelong learner and seeker of knowledge, of using humor to build connections with others, and of being adaptable and open to change.
The spirit of the ‘45 generation, the spirit of sacrifice, determination, and resilience in the face of adversity, is something that has been instilled in me since I was young. It is a spirit that I carry with me in all that I do, whether on the battlefield or in leadership roles. I am proud to be part of a family and a military tradition that is rooted in the values and principles of the ‘45 generation, and I strive to uphold those values in everything I do.
