The Free Health Check in Schools (CKG) program is a nationwide initiative in Indonesia that aims to provide free health checks to at least 53 million students in all types of educational institutions, including public, private, and religious schools under the supervision of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This program, which was highlighted by Hariqo Wibawa Satria from the Presidential Communication Office, is part of President Prabowo’s vision to create a Golden Generation by 2045. The government has also introduced various policies and programs to support this vision, such as Free Nutritious Meals, Capacity Expansion of Public Hospitals, and Digital Learning Initiatives.
President Prabowo has signed regulations to advance child protection and provide special allowances to medical specialists working in remote areas. Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar has emphasized the importance of including religious-based education units in the CKG program to support the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision. This includes madrasahs, pesantrens, Christian and Catholic schools, Hindu Widyalayas, and Buddhist Dhammasekhas. The ministry is urging all religious schools to actively participate in this program by providing necessary equipment and support to ensure its successful implementation.
With over 12.5 million students under the Ministry’s supervision, the CKG program is crucial in promoting the health and well-being of students and supporting the national vision of a healthy, intelligent, and competitive generation by 2045. Minister Nasaruddin has instructed regional and district heads to closely monitor the implementation of the program and has warned that schools failing to participate seriously will face consequences. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to providing quality healthcare and support to students across Indonesia.
