President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, made a surprising departure for Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday evening via the Whoosh high-speed train, accompanied by members of the public from Halim Station in Jakarta. Dressed in a cream-colored outfit with a matching jacket and navy blue cap, President Prabowo seamlessly blended in with fellow passengers as he tapped his boarding card at the ticket gate and made his way up the escalator to the platform. His presence generated excitement among commuters, who were thrilled to see him interact warmly with the crowd and wave to onlookers before boarding the train bound for Tegalluar Station in Bandung at 8:00 p.m.
President Prabowo is set to inaugurate the 2025 Indonesian Convention on Science, Technology, and Industry (KSTI) at Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), from August 7 to 9. Alongside Nobel Laureate Konstantin Novoselov and Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, he will deliver the keynote address at the convention, which revolves around the theme “Economic Growth and Equity Through Mastery of Science and Technology.” Expected to be a premier strategic forum on both national and international levels, KSTI 2025 aims to promote discussions on the pivotal role of science and technology in fostering economic development and equality.
