President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, warmly received the President of Peru, Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra, at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The grand state ceremony was attended by around 3,000 students from elementary to high schools in the capital. The Peruvian President’s motorcade, accompanied by motorcycle troops and mounted guards, arrived at the palace from the National Monument (Monas). Upon arrival, Boluarte was personally welcomed by Prabowo. Both leaders, standing on the ceremonial podium, listened to their national anthems and inspected the honor guard. They later introduced their official delegations, with Prabowo accompanied by several key ministers. The bilateral meeting between the two heads of state aimed to strengthen the relationship between Indonesia and Peru, both members of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). This meeting reciprocated Prabowo’s visit to Peru last year, marking a significant step in the ongoing diplomatic exchanges between the two nations.
