Budiman Sudjatmiko, the Deputy Chairman of the National Campaign Team (TKN) for Prabowo-Gibran, stated that the presidential and vice-presidential candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, is a choice for reconciliation and national unity. He mentioned that the selection of Prabowo and Gibran represents a choice for the progress of national reconciliation and unity.
Budiman emphasized that after experiencing the reform period in 1998, Indonesia’s agenda for progress should focus on the unity of the Indonesian people without neglecting human rights, governance, and corruption issues. He highlighted the relevance of democracy, human rights, governance, and corruption issues in Indonesia’s advancement.
According to Budiman, Prabowo Subianto, who was a TNI soldier at that time, was carrying out state duties, while activists were fulfilling the historical task of overthrowing the authoritarian regime of Soeharto. He expressed the commitment of himself and other reform activists from 1998 to advance Indonesia to a better, more liberated, and more democratic state.
Furthermore, Budiman emphasized the importance of placing a commitment to human rights within the national framework for a more prosperous nation. He also stressed the need for Indonesian children to be healthier and have access to undisturbed information.
