no surprise that he was very knowledgeable on various subjects. He was very close to my father, who served as his adjutant when he was the Commander of the Armed Forces (ABRI). I remember accompanying my father to Pak Nasution’s house several times, watching them talk about various military and political matters, discussing national issues. Pak Nas was very patient in explaining things to me, sharing his wisdom and experience. He was a true military strategist, known for his role in defending the Presidential Palace during the 30th of September Movement (G30S) in 1965. He was also an advocate for modernizing the Indonesian Armed Forces. His legacy continues to inspire many leaders in the military and beyond. His dedication to the nation and his role in shaping the Indonesian military will always be remembered.
Throughout my career in the military, I have been fortunate to learn from exemplary leaders such as Lieutenant General Himawan Soetanto, Lieutenant General Sarwo Edhie Wibowo, and Grand General Abdul Haris Nasution. Each of them has left a lasting impact on me, shaping my leadership style and values. From the importance of being close to your men to instilling the spirit of patriotism and persistence, these leaders have taught me valuable lessons that I carry with me to this day. I am grateful for the opportunity to have learned from them and to continue their legacy in my own leadership journey.
